In Operation

The minute you arrive on the bridge, open your backpack or rugged case and take out
your laptop.  Turn it on and head out onto the bridge wing.

Take a second to choose a clear, unobstructed spot on the rail for the two antenna units.
If it's a round rail it will take a few more seconds to attach with the straps.

Place the antenna units on the rail.  Hold the master antenna next to the end of the box unit
which will automaticly switch on the unit.
Push in the antenna cable and place the units.
The antenna line instantly gives you the perfect separation.

Back on the bridge your software has automatically started.  If you're using AISPilot, plug it in
and switch it on.  It doesn't matter where the pilot plug is - our equipment is all wireless.

You're now ready for business... in less than two minutes.

You can save every vessel's profile, or set it up before you leave shore.
And if you can't recall how something works, there is a handy waterproof quickguide.

Performance

We only use DGPS or Nav-Dif positioning.  With our products you will never have less than
50cm accuracy .  With RTK positioning, on the other hand, it is possible to lose both Lock and
Float modes, leaving you with raw GPS accuracy of around 2.5m.

If you are using Nav-Dif and sail out of close range from the base station, you will revert to DGPS
accuracy.

Battery life

Our PPUs will last for 15 hours between charges.  That is long enough for several shorter
passages and most longer ones.  For very long passages, we can build a unit with double
the battery life.
