About Us
Welcome to Navicom Dynamics, based in Auckland, New Zealand. In Auckland, the
marine environment surrounds the city and is a major industry. But with agents
worldwide and operating in 13 countries, we are very much a global company.
At Navicom Dynamics we focus all our time and expertise on portable aids for harbour pilots
and the offshore oil and gas industry. The high level of knowledge we have of this technology
is useful for other applications - such as high precision positioning for racing yachts - but we
will always be the specialist PPU company.
We are a friendly team dedicated to two things - giving our customers great support, and
developing even better products for them.
Our Vision
To provide products and services that improve the safety and efficiency of pilotage, whilst
reducing the stress levels of pilots.
To us, this means giving pilots a navaid that is easy to use. All the time, every time.
It means if a pilot is on a ship anywhere in the world and needs our help, they should get it.
And it shouldn't cost extra.
Our Team
Paul Stanley - Managing Director (paul@navicomdynamics.com)
A former Navigation Specialist in the Royal Navy and later the Royal
New Zealand Navy, Paul has a particular interest in pilotage and ship-
handling which he both practised and taught to the highest levels. He has
been actively involved in developing portable aids for Marine Pilotage since
the late 1990s. Paul led the development of HarbourPilot and is our principal
software and charting expert. He is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute.

Peter Selwyn - General Manager (peter@navicomdynamics.com)
Formerly an Electronics Engineer in Royal Navy submarines, Peter was
actively involved in submarine operational management. He has a strong
interest in navigation, and is also a qualified RYA Ocean Yachtmaster
Instructor. As an engineer, he is principally involved in the continuing
development of all products. He is also the company's principal
demonstrator and salesperson. Peter is extremely customer-focused
and carries out much of the training and commissioning.

Phil Je

Phil and his wife Denise emigrated from the
up the role of Engineering Manager with us. Phil, who is a qualified
electronics engineer, has previously worked for Decca Navigator/Racal
Avionics, MENAS and Tideland Signal. He has provided technical &
commissioning support to customers in many countries, including being
based in the
computer programming and has given a lecture at the Royal Institute of
Navigation on the implementation of a DGPS system for the

systems. He is the quality assurance champion and a member of the commissioning team.
Andrew Carson - Product Development & Marketing (andrew@navicomdynamics.com)
Andrew is the newest member of the Navicom Dynamics team. He
qualified as an avionics technician with the Royal New Zealand Air Force,
but left after seven years to travel. This became his passion and he has
visited over 40 countries, becoming profficient in French as a result.
Andrew recently completed a bachelors degree in product development,
and is excited about his dual role of marketing and spending time in the
workshop on product design and support.
