Navicom Dynamics is based in Auckland, New Zealand. We are a marine electronics company that specialises in precision positioning services for the marine industry. Our two main focusses are channel and harbour pilotage and mooring and offtake operations for the offshore oil & gas industry.
A former Navigation Specialist in the Royal Navy and later the Royal New Zealand Navy, Paul has a particular interest in pilotage and ship-handling which he both practised and taught to the highest levels. Working closely with commercial pilots, he has been actively involved in developing portable aids for Marine Pilotage since the late 1990s. Paul led the development of HarbourPilot and conducts most of the commissioning and training work. He is a Commander in the Royal New Zealand Navy Volunteer Reserve and a Fellow of the Nautical Institute. 
Formerly an Electronics Engineer in Royal Navy submarines, Peter was actively involved in submarine operational management. He has a strong interest in navigation, and is also a qualified RYA Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor. As an engineer, he is principally involved in the continuing development of HarbourPilot; he has also been responsible for a number of marketing initiatives, including website development and authoring our email newsletters. He does all the final integration of HarbourPilot units before they leave for the customer, and is also involved in training on the system.
